About Fiesta Navideña
Fiesta Navideña, the Betty Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser, is the League of Mexican American Women’s signature annual fundraiser, bringing the community together in celebration of culture, tradition, and educational opportunity.
For 50 years, this cherished event has supported the League’s mission to empower local students through scholarships, helping them pursue higher education and achieve their goals.
Fiesta Navideña has evolved over the years, offering a vibrant and meaningful experience that reflects the spirit of our community. The event has traditionally featured entertainment, cultural elements, and a highly anticipated silent auction—all in support of student scholarships.
Through Fiesta Navideña, the League has raised nearly $700,000 in scholarships for students throughout Fresno County, providing critical financial support and opening doors to higher education. Each year, proceeds from the event directly benefit deserving students, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college.
Founded in 1973, the League of Mexican American Women has remained committed to service and educational advancement. Fiesta Navideña stands as a reflection of that commitment—uniting generations of supporters, volunteers, and scholars in a shared mission to uplift our community.
